A cat will not love you for jokes.
No smirk will disturb his demeanor
When your brother drinks water and chokes.

You'll get not one laugh from your cat.
The feline disdain he exhibits
Would make the best punch line fall flat.

A cat, when you tell him a funny,
Might glance at you, wrinkle his nose, but
No matter the great entertainment...
Your regal cat maintains his pose.
